i find that life is filled with humor and beauty despite the difficulties. and surprisingly it turns out that many cliches are actually profound truths. for example: life is a journey the glass is half full do or do not do, there is no try (extra points if you know what play that's from) laughter IS the best medicine trust yourself never lose your beginner's mind the only time is now music is best all of life is about learning and growing falling in love is about timing and meeting the right person and being the right person i'll know it when i see it and i trust you will too
My Ideal Person:
laughter and kindness go a long way. smart IS sexy. curiosity is sexy. there's no explaining nor denying chemistry. grown-ups are fun, especially if they haven't lost their kid-at-heart. it takes one to know one.
The last great book I read the war of art and eckhart tolle: a new earth and the power of now. loved: the god of small things, middlesex, the last report of the miracles at little no horse. love poetry: goethe, kay ryan, mary oliver, david whyte...
My most humbling moment too many to recount. isn't all of life humbling... but in a good 'makes you stronger if it doesn't kill you' kind of way?
The celebrity I resemble the most you're kidding, right?
If I could be anywhere right now right here, right now. working on the whole present moment thing. with that said - skiing at Whistler is fabulous, playing music, seeing a great show (most recently Bon Iver at the Wiltern - have tickets to Snow Patrol!), traveling to europe or asia.
Five items I can't live without nature, friends, music, silence, laughter, love.... hmmm.. that's six.
Fill in the blank: _____ is sexy; _____ is sexier. being smart is sexy, being funny is sexier.
In my bedroom one will find... cozy blankets. piles of books. a fabulous bed. three guitars. a beautiful abstract my mom painted hanging over my bed.
