Do dudes actually read these things--don't you just look at our pictures??
That said: I really love books and read voraciously--like to give them away after reading. I adore animals and children pretty much unconditionally. (did you just lose your hard on?) I am equal parts outgoing/extravert (my sun sign is Aries) and hermit/homebody (moon and rising in Cancer) I play all sports and play them well and competitively--swear I'm not a lesbian! I dress in a pretty girly manner--never wear pants or jeans. I really don't like camping though it's not that i don't appreciate nature or the great outdoors--it's just that my love of indoor plumbing and television will always win out. I root compulsively for the underdog except when it comes to Roger Federer or LeBron James. I prize integrity and loyalty. I don't enjoy narcissists though chances are, if you're narcissistic you won't know it and thus will probably contact me anyway. I'm a good secret-keeper and make an effort not to gossip. I was a wild child in my youth but have been reformed by maturity and some life-sized whacks. I'm still great friends with all my ex-boyfriends (in a healthy, with-boundaries kind of way) In punctuating, i definitely abuse the exclamation mark!!!! I love to laugh and enjoy other people with a great sense of humor. Had I been born in the shtetl, I would either have been the town matchmaker or chief rabbi.
My Ideal Person:
Integrity is key--with that, we can work through anything. A gentleman who's comfortable in his skin and willing to admit when he's wrong. Someone who loves himself and thus, is able to love me. I'm turned on by highly intelligent people with insatiable curiosity for the world around them. A man who makes me laugh and vice versa. Depth is crucial. Presence is a must. Compassion tops the list. And humility is just about the biggest turn on in the world--but that would prolly presuppose a good deal of the qualities mentioned above. My favorite people in the world are those with the capacity to continually surprise me. That is truly the gift that never stops giving. Boys are fun to play with but I'd like to spend my life with a man. That's what I'm looking for.
The last great book I read Biography of William Randolph Hearst written by his son. Not a killer book but interesting.
My most humbling moment I recently (politely) asked my NEW next-door neighbor if she could keep the music down (it had already been a week-long "jam" session and I wanted to watch Gossip Girl at normal volume) When she came to my door to discuss the "matter" it became clear that my new next-door neighbor is Rickie Lee Jones. Needless to say, we did not discuss the levels of her music. And I have made my peace with Gossip Girl at full volume. Who fucks with bohemian rock royalty?
Favorite on-screen sex scene Clooney/Lopez in Out of Sight. Actually, any sex scene directed by soderbergh.
The celebrity I resemble the most Garth Brooks. I get that a lot. A young Barbara Stanwyck, that's been said as well.
The best or worst lie I've ever told I'm on a totally silent, twenty-one day meditation retreat so I can't talk to you right now.
If I could be anywhere right now Exactly where I am. Or Provence.
Five items I can't live without Tennis racket. The remote control. My collection of books. The watch I inherited from my nana. My best friend Clara.
Fill in the blank: _____ is sexy; _____ is sexier. LeBron is sexy. Marat Safin is sexier.
In my bedroom one will find... A lot of crystals. A litho that's been in every single room I've ever lived in since I was born. Stacks and stacks of New Yorker magazines. Various books on the Kennedys, neuroscience, Elephants and NLP. And the tarot death card under my pillow (long story but not what it seems).
