First off, I guess (if pressured), I would describe myself as kind and compassionate with a quirky sense of humor. I try to see the world through a not-very-critical lens, which is most tested in very long lines. I like communication in all its forms, phone, text, email, and especially U.S.P.S.
Many things in the world intrigue and fascinate me, sometimes it's just a drive through a new neighborhood, or in a past life, riding the subway to its terminus. Cooking is sometimes part of my job and I remain somewhat interested in food. I will drive quite a distance to try a new, cheap, unusual restaurant, as long as they have a few vegetarian options on the menu. Sometimes I feel a little out-of-place in modern LA, I might be more at home in the 50s or 60s, a la one of Miss Doris Day's roles or Miss Della Street. Who wouldn't want to show up to work in a sharp suit and toss in a few witty asides whenever the situation warranted?
My Ideal Person:
I'll be honest, sometimes I don't know, but here goes...Someone principled yet fun, who will laugh at my jokes and tell their own. A conversationalist, but not necessarily a debater. I don't expect you to be interested in everything that I am (don't worry, we won't be crafting together), but am looking for a mutual respect. Oh, and is somewhat old-fashioned (although I definitely want to pay for myself, so not in that sense) and gets along well with others.
