I am independent and adventurous but also easy going. I am a hopeless dog lover. I am passionate about the things I value. I can be very serious or very silly, but mostly hover happily in between. If you're good, I will let you cheat off my New York Times Sunday crossword.
I think I could live without pretty much everything except my family and friends, but some things I'd prefer to hang onto if I could: old books, valid passport, red wine, green tea, The New Yorker, skinny Sharpies, big ideas, raging rain, spicy tuna rolls, the subway, strangers, ballgowns, bare feet, escapes into nature, dark chocolate.
My Ideal Person:
Someone who is confident and smart, who likes to laugh, who is passionate about something, who might have a slightly mischievous side.
The last great book I read Zadie Smith, Martin Amis, Italo Calvino, Faulkner. The Sun Also Rises, again. The Einstein biography. The Giving Tree.
My most humbling moment Climbing Mt. Kenya
The best or worst lie I've ever told I am allergic to lying (which is probably much preferable to the alternative)
If I could be anywhere right now the Amalfi Coast, Yosemite, the Uffizi, Camden, Maine, any street in Paris, wherever I am, anywhere I’ve never been.
Fill in the blank: _____ is sexy; _____ is sexier. Freud is sexy; Jung is sexier
In my bedroom one will find... too many books, an engulfing comforter, my director’s chair, a steamer trunk, a million Playbills, the stray dust buffalo, dreams
