Here goes: I enjoy running, tennis, music of all kinds, Joe's Pub, podcasts of This American Life, and dinner parties with friends. I love flowers. I tend to cry at sappy movies and cover my eyes at scary ones. Maybe that's why I gravitate to indie films instead. While I love New York, on vacation I try to go where I can be outdoors; hiking, skiing, surfing, whatever... I climbed Kilimanjaro over New Year's - even though it was crazily cold, I grinned idiotically for most of the 7 days up. That said, you probably wouldn't peg me as an adventure traveler to look at me - the city is part of who I am, too. I guess this all means I seek the edges and the soft side, too, the yin and yang of it all. Most importantly, though, I like to really connect with the people I'm close to - that's what it's all about.
My Ideal Person:
Someone with a curious mind. Someone who likes to toss a frisbee around in the waves and who also has a good sense of humor -- or at least we get each other's jokes. Someone to harmonize with in the car and to talk with about books. We should click if you enjoy struggling with the NY Times crossword, cooking every so often and working up a sweat.
The last great book I read Just finished The Human Stain and realllllly liked it. I'm kind of on a Philip Roth jag at the moment. Homie can write.
Favorite on-screen sex scene The pasta scene in Lady and the Tramp.
The celebrity I resemble the most I seem to get compared to anyone who is a curly-haired brunette - Andie MacDowell, Julianna Margulies, some gal on House (I don't watch the show so I can't vouch for that one) and once or twice, by people who need new glasses, Lisa Bonet.
If I could be anywhere right now Depends on my mood but I probably have on hiking boots or a bikini... or both.
Five items I can't live without My lungs, Ipod, NPR, The New Yorker, my dog and finally, bonfires and outdoor showers in the summer. And flavor. That's 8 but they are all crucial...
Fill in the blank: _____ is sexy; _____ is sexier. chatting, chilling
In my bedroom one will find... a big ol' bed with lots of pillows, too many shoes, tons of books (some half read), National Geo Adventure magazine
