Walking along the halloween parade route, long after the parade was over, I contemplated costume ideas for next year- Emma Peel, perhaps, or Anya from Buffy the vampire slayer (her humorous yet awkward truth-saying I find refreshing)...
that said, i am a fan of asking irreverent and impertinent questions.
my friends would call me an introvert, but not shy...i love salsa dancing, and i happily ask guys to dance. i am a longtime night owl, who loves the mystery and stillness of the city late at night. Koreatown, late night jazz clubs, and low key bars are some of my favorite hangouts. i love to go hear live music. i am also equally at home staying at home, sitting at an outdoor cafe or exploring neighborhoods in the city.
Perhaps i am old fashioned..but i am still a fan of just hanging out..with no goal in mind.
i am a former science geek- i studied math and physics...does that count? ..i have looked through both telescopes and microscopes.
i am also a lapsed artist, who is returning to the studio again, after taking a year off to learn to salsa dance.
i like to figure out what makes people tick...and i am a good listener.
My Ideal Person:
i am looking for someone to make me laugh, who enjoys life and spending time together, as well as time apart. mutual respect and good conversation a must...
The last great book I read Plainwater, by Anne Carson, What Work Is, by Philip Levine, and A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine l'Engle, which is perhaps my all time favorite book
The best or worst lie I've ever told most ironic - i left my ticket (for synagogue) at home- before services on yom kippur (day of atonement) when i was in college
Five items I can't live without my green knitted hat, my threadbare but beloved salsa shoes, chocolate, sleeping in on weekends, granola from my neighborhood farmer's market
