One of my favorite things is funny. As in being funny. Not like it's a funny thing that I favor. Doesn't matter if it's humorous, schticky, or just plain dumb…as long as it's good for a laugh, I'm tickled. Myself…I lean on the side of sarcasm with eccentricity rising. Makes for a nice, if not interesting, balance.
The little things… I appreciate good design; everything from clothing to decor to restaurants. Good taste is something I devour. One day my wallet will catch up with my designer's eye. But in the meantime, I'm content with devising creative ways to pull it together.
I do enjoy staying in some evenings; cozying up on the sofa, or working up new 2-D/3-D projects, or sharpening my culinary skills. I'm currently into pickling fruits/veggies. But truthfully, I much prefer traipsing around the city looking for new things to check out. And preferably those things serve cocktails.
The littler things… I only wear dresses and skirts…believe women are better in heels (there are a few exceptions too detailed to list in this space)…love a proper cocktail…wish i had more time to travel…continually seek the new-new in the city, but relish its historic gems…determined.…honest, sometimes a little too much so… animated…open…and an individualist.
My Ideal Person:
someone who is witty and intelligent. candid and charming. creative and inspired. not afraid to dork out. not embarrassed by my fits of dork. penchant to try new things. doesn't rely on text msgs as the only mode of communication (not that i'm a bigtime phone talker, it's just nice to hear a voice now and then) won't balk at my wicked laugh.
someone who understands balance. the slapstick side should be supported by a sense of direction. book smarts should close the cover occasionally to make room for superfunawesomeness. if you lean too far in one direction, you're gonna miss out on something spectacular.
My most humbling moment This happens almost daily…as a creative, my work is constantly up for critique by my clients and peers. constructive criticism is supposedly beneficial, but sometimes it's just a plain kick to your confidence.
The celebrity I resemble the most personally, i don't think i look like anyone aside from my brothers. i'm always changing my look via hair color and length, but in the past, i've gotten blondie, christy brinkley, brigitte bardot, and tiffany amber theissen (ha).
The best or worst lie I've ever told When pulled over for speeding at age 19, I told the officer my reason for feverish driving was due to a man that flashed me full-frontal on the side of the road (a partially true story that occurred 4 years prior) Best: Didn't get a $75 ticket Worst:Spent 3 hours at the police station fabricating an offender character profile and composite sketch Even Worse: Thinking I got off scot-free, I happily return to school for spring semester, when I get a call from my mother. She says a police officer knocked on her door with an update on the status of my offender -- they haven't been able to locate him (duh), but will continue their pursuit. Sigh…of course she has no clue what he's talking about…she freaks…she calls me…I pony up to the truth…and to this day, she questions my word. Bleargh.
If I could be anywhere right now paris…so predictable coming from a girl…but i love i love i love it there… the skinny streets, the empire architecture…mainly the mansard roofs, the variation of scents between arrondissements, the amazing streetside chocolate crepes, their cafes aren't just for coffee, and offer complimentary nosh with your wine carafe.
Five items I can't live without smith's minted rose lip balm, mascara, coffee, scrabble, black knee high boots.
Fill in the blank: _____ is sexy; _____ is sexier. this blank space; coming up with something clever
In my bedroom one will find... bed and dresser…shocking
