I'm a children's librarian who loves to go out and stay out late. I love riding my bike and ditching my car on the weekends. Last week I went out for a drink with my best friend from kindergarten. Last summer I hung out with an Australian in Crete, a Portuguese in Dublin, and an Argentinian in Madrid. I saw Bill Fox at Quenchers recently and I was just floating on a cloud of love and adoration for singer-songwriters. I also saw Mastodon at the Aragon not too long ago, and they were pretty great, too.
I'm always in the middle of about 5 books. I'm having a great 2009 although it hasn't been without its challenges. I'd love to go out and grab a beer sometime with you.
My Ideal Person:
Do you enjoy live music? Like trying new restaurants and bars, while continuing to frequent old standbys? Do you feel a love for the city of Chicago that grows broader and deeper each day? Me, too. We'll probably get along.
A kind heart and a sharp wit won't hurt, either.
The last great book I read The last book I read about a great subject, poorly written, was Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and a ghost writer. The last book I think I loved was Gonzo, the story of the life of Hunter S. Thompson told in interviews of the people who survive him. I just think he's great.
Favorite on-screen sex scene I hate to say it but Hotel Chevalier is extremely hot.
The best or worst lie I've ever told Get to know me a little and I'll tell you my worst lie. It's not unforgivable, but still makes me ashamed after all these years.
If I could be anywhere right now I'd be backpacking in India. I'm slightly obsessed and I don't really know why.
Five items I can't live without Laptop, bicycle, iphone, StaticGuard, WTTW
Fill in the blank: _____ is sexy; _____ is sexier. A good joke is sexy; a good pun is sexier.
In my bedroom one will find... maps of Chicago, my bed, and a wonderful sculpture of a skeleton doing a routine on the gymnastics rings.
