this is kind of a weird way to meet people. i mean, it makes sense, but it's still strange. i'm hoping to meet someone beyond my usual sphere of travel. which is pretty broad. i meet lots of folks, buuuut have yet to meet someone with whom i feel that little sparkly feeling. if i don't find that here, than maybe a new pal, or at least a fun conversation over a coffee or a nice cheese plate.
i'm a painter and an art instructor at a university. i love my work muchly. it's quite involved, but does allow me much free time to peruse various interests.
such as, but not limited to: painting, seeing art, films! yoga, swimming, eating and drinking wine with friends (very important activity), travel, talking about travel, dreaming about travel (not much travel this year, so i'm pretty limited to the latter). i've lived overseas, in istanbul and paris, and
turkey is happening, people! if you haven't been, go. soon.
additionally, i'm kind, lots of fun, but given to great seriousness and bouts of watching iraq documentaries and brooding. i care about people and the world and the planet. i'm a big gushy romantic, and always trying to be more and more pragmatic.
also, i'm warm + have a deep voice.

creative - in your own manner. but, as an artist person, that pretty much defines my life. i'm not a fanatic, i take time for friends and health and family and breathing fresh air, and get on well with all sorts and kinds, but i'm most at home with other makers-of-things, and/or enthusiastic appreciators of things, like film, books, stuff like that. i like smart people, but not people who are all douchy and arrogant.
someone who loves cooking and eating and drinking yummy wine.
someone who has a full life. mine is. i want to share.
oh - and, if you have a picture of your abs on your profile, i just think we might not see eye to eye. i mean, your abs are great! really. i'm just more interested in your other attributes.
