NYC transplant. I moved here three and a half years ago. Although, I adore New York, and head there a lot for work, I find myself very happy here. Was a Westsider, and now a devout Eastsider. I'm not snobby about it. I see the merits to both. I love all the random architecture in Los Angeles, and have become obsessed with Modern stuff. I've turned into somewhat of a chair collector.
I really like cooking. Between having a kitchen larger than a postage stamp and the amazing farmers markets, I cook a lot. I also love to go to a restaurant. That is probably one of the things I miss most about New York. I guess you could say that I'm a foodie, but I'll take a Dodgers Dog any day. (Well not anytime soon, I guess)
I hate flying but love seeing new places. Thankfully, there are meds for that. I love to travel on an expense account. I love music, movies, and art. I watch a fair amount of television, but I prefer things like Shark Week to the Kardashians. I was in heaven watching a Godfather marathon yesterday. I should read more and go to the gym more, but I'm lazy and sort of ok with that.
I'm very loyal and a good friend. I am also very, very silly.
My Ideal Person:
Someone who is fun. Someone who will make me laugh. Someone who will wow me with their extensive knowledge of random references and quotes, someone who knows big words, someone who will show me new stuff. someone who wants to go to a gallery or a show, but wants to bet on stupid horse names at Santa Anita or race go karts. You should be a gentleman, but sarcasm should be one of the services you provide.
I keep forgetting to mention this, but Ed Hardy need not apply.
The last great book I read Bright Shiny Morning
My most humbling moment Do they ever stop?
Favorite on-screen sex scene The Postman Always Rings Twice
The best or worst lie I've ever told I never lie.
If I could be anywhere right now Rome is my favorite city on the planet. The history boggles my mind and beyond humbles me. After that, the North Shore of Kauai is the most extraordinary place I've ever been. Humbling in a completely different way. I've never pointed at so many naturally beautiful things in a place saying "that is just ridiculous."
Five items I can't live without laptop, champagne, iphone, coffee maker, bed
Fill in the blank: _____ is sexy; _____ is sexier. A good kisser. A good kisser who is actually a nice guy.
In my bedroom one will find... polycarbonate lamps, a scary blank canvas I'm supposed to paint at some point, an old flat screen, and a very, very comfy bed i can't seem to get out of in the morning.
