I've lived in San Francisco for a couple of years now. I've got great friends and love my new home. I love to cook for my friends. I'm the kind of gal who prefers hole-in-the wall or lively bistro to high-end stuffy sorts of places. I was born in French Canada and grew up bilingual, but I'm out of practice. I love to travel and explore new places. I'm left-of-center, politically engaged, and passionate about my work. I care deeply about the world around me. I can do goofy or sophisticated. I sometimes laugh at inappropriate moments, but I hope that's all part my charm.
My Ideal Person:
A good friend told me that research shows we have no idea who or what we really want--that is, until we find it. But here it goes anyway. I'm looking for someone who makes me laugh and enjoys life. Someone down to earth. Generous. Politically progressive, but who also enjoys spirited debate. But what do I know? Surprise me.
The last great book I read Middlesex, Omnivore's Dilemma, You are Not a Stranger Here, The Namesake. Currently reading Nixonland.
The celebrity I resemble the most I've heard Maura Tierney (Abby Lockhart on ER). Not sure I see it, though.
Five items I can't live without my morning cup of coffee, the NY Times, and a hot shower. Those three things alone go a long way...
