I think legos are still one of the best toys that has ever been made.
I've got an eclectic background ranging from engineering, teaching abroad, and creating useful/whimsical constructs from fiber. My interests range from pumpkin-chucking machines, to perfume, to picking up new and ever interesting skills. I'm definitely open to new things; it's rare that I won't try something once, whether it's traveling to another country, finding the hole-in-the cafe that has the best coffee ever at home, or learning how to ride a motorcycle.
I like pretty much all ethnic foods, motorized vehicles of all types (land, sea, and air!), old fashioned fountain pens, and would prefer to listen to NPR on the radio versus watching TV.
I enjoy organizing events for my friends and family, but have no problem wandering around solo to do the things I enjoy.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for an open-minded partner in crime who's cool with the dive bars and the opera scene. Even better if you're down with unconventional solutions to conventional problems. You know that half the fun is the way you get to your destination, and bonus points if you know what what TED and Abelour are.
The last great book I read I don't think I've read a "great" book in a while...any recommendations?
My most humbling moment Graduate school.
If I could be anywhere right now Somewhere I haven't been before. Otherwise, in a hot spring southeast of Reykjavik, Iceland. Believe it or not, it's called the Blue Lagoon.
Five items I can't live without contacts, GOOD coffee, sunshine, music, and a pen
Fill in the blank: _____ is sexy; _____ is sexier. laughing is sexy; mischievous grin is sexier!
In my bedroom one will find... a messy bed, boxes and bags waiting to be unpacked, two bookcases full of books with more piled in front of them, and a stereo that is always on.
Bags of yarn and partially completed knitting projects, chocolate and tea. =)
